The Birth Of Rockzilla 2.0
There is some exciting stuff in store for Susquehanna Smallmouth clients for 2015 including a new custom Rockzilla boat by RockProof boats. We were hoping to have this new boat ready to go about the same time the ice moves out of the Susquehanna river (second-third week in march) but unfortunately because of the complexity of the custom flooring job coming from Sea-dek the completion date for the boat will be towards the end of april. Joe Raymond will most likely Guide out of his Rockzilla 1.0 boat up until the closure. Once Rockzilla 2.0 is completed the original Rockzilla 1.0 boat will up be for sale. Feel free to contact Joe if you are interested in purchasing this boat.
Joe Raymond will be demoing this new boat for rockproof custom boats. For people interested in purchasing a Rockproof custom boat Joe Raymond will offer a test drive/guided trip. Those interested will pay the full-day 8 hour rate and if they decide they want to purchase a new custom boat from RockProof they may take the guide-trip receipt to RockProof and have that amount $ Discounted on their new boat. Cool stuff, a free guided/test drive with Joe Raymond on his custom RockZilla 2.0 boat by RockProof custom boats.
“Enough already, Lets see some pictures of this new rockzilla boat. What has changed, what is different about it” This new boat will be the same length 17’6″ — 20′ over all with the rear swim platform. The hull is wider at 72″ instead of 69″ on the original boat. Most of the changes are minor, more storage, more open floor space. Ultimately we wanted a more comfortable layout design for clients. When the Original Rockzilla boat was built guiding was not in mind.
Below starts a list of pictures in order from the beginning of Rockzilla 2.0’s life. The pictures show the stages of fabrication up until the day it was “shot” with Anthracite colored powder coat.
